“The Kitchen Sink is My Happy Place”
        – said no one ever!

    WORKSHOP IS FULL

A Sunday workshop with Addrene Rizen

Scale:  1:12

Price:  $45

Make this adorable Vintage 50s style kitchen sink. Enjoy friendly, expert instructions in this hands-on workshop. You will learn a variety of techniques for creating and finishing miniatures using matboard, including an introduction to designing and cutting with a Cricut cutting machine.

You’ll be guided step-by-step through assembling your cupboard and creating your vintage sink. You will have the option to style your countertop with either classic style tile or a very retro Formica© type print.

The techniques for bending styrene tubing will also be explored as you design and create your own custom kitchen faucet.

Although your sink and cupboard will not be completely finished during the workshop, detailed instructions will be included for completing the final finishes at home. Because the final paint coats and varnish require adequate drying time, these finishing steps are best completed at home to achieve the smoothest, most professional-looking result.

Come ready to create, customize, and have some fun — and leave with the beginnings of a seriously adorable 1950s miniature kitchen!

“Happiness is a Piece of Cake!”

A Sunday workshop with Patti Thorne

    Scale:  1:12

    Price:  $40

Who says you can’t have your cake and keep it forever? In this hands-on workshop, you will craft a stunning, hyper-realistic mini cake using polymer clay – delicious to look at, but strictly non-edible.

Assemble vibrant, colourful cake layers and sandwich them together with rich, handmade polymer clay “icing”. Frost your creation, then slice off a piece to share with someone who brings joy to your life (even if that special someone is you).

For your second cake, choose between a classic chocolate or vanilla cake base. Style your cake as partially frosted, complete with a tiny bowl of extra icing sitting nearby, ready to be used.

This workshop is the recipe for a great time. No baking experience required – just bring your imagination!

(Cake plates may not be the same as shown in the photo.)
