Wicker Celebration Basket
A Sunday workshop with Kim Stewart
Scale: 1:12
Price: $55
Students will create a large, round woven basket for the gathering celebration items.
This basket will be woven like a traditional basket using only wire . . . no wooden base.
The workshop will cover weaving and finishing a wicker basket using floral wire and waxed linen thread. A choice of weaving patterns and thread colours will be offered, making the basket uniquely yours.
Students should bring lighting (preferably battery operated) or any magnification that they may need. A pair of jewellery snips for wire cutting, small scissors, and a 6″ ruler will be necessary. A glue syringe is suggested but not necessary. Syringes will be available for sale at the workshop if you would like one.
All skill levels are welcome.
