GATHERING HELPERS
Gathering Helpers are items raffled off to help with current Gathering expenses, donated by clubs, groups or individuals. They could be a small room box or vignette, or a single piece such as a dressed doll, a special piece of furniture, or a nice accessory or accent piece. Gathering Helpers need not be theme related.
They usually run at a value of at least $50, but many are worth far more. The Gathering Helpers are kept on display throughout the weekend while the tickets are being sold. The winning tickets are pulled at the Sunday lunch.
If you would like to donate a Gathering Helper, please tick off Gathering Helper on your Registration Form, or contact Susan Williamson by March 15th (the Ides of March).
SILENT AUCTION
At the 2012 Gathering in Peterborough, our good friend and fiendish miniaturist extraordinaire, Lynn Bellanger, said we must have a silent auction. It had been a great success at the Rochester Small Scales Houseparty the previous year, so the committee said, go ahead Lynn. And she did.
Each Gathering since then, we’ve had a highly successful silent auction, with the proceeds going back to benefit the Gathering Registrants.
Sadly, Lynn died in 2013, but the auctions live on in her name.
We’d love you to bring some charming treasures from your collection that you would like to pass on to some new owner to cherish.
Suggestions for Silent Auction donations
-collector item piece of furniture
-an exquisite doll
-an accent piece that you now know you might never find a room to put it in
-power tools you no longer use
-bits and pieces of miniature craft supplies that any miniaturist would love
-any other item you feel we would all love to bid on
Be mindful of size, please. Each item needs to travel safely and easily to its new home.
Donation Information
If you plan to bring a LARGE item or a major quantity of items, contact Sandra Quigley by March 15th.
