GATHERING HELPERS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gathering Helpers are items raffled off to help with current Gathering expenses, donated by clubs, groups or individuals. They could be a small room box or vignette, or a single piece such as a dressed doll, a special piece of furniture, or a nice accessory or accent piece. Gathering Helpers need not be theme related.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

They usually run at a value of at least $50, but many are worth far more<\/i>. The Gathering Helpers are kept on display throughout the weekend while the tickets are being sold. The winning tickets are pulled at the Sunday lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SILENT AUCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the 2012 Gathering in Peterborough, our good friend and fiendish miniaturist extraordinaire, Lynn Bellanger, said we must have a silent auction. It had been a great success at the Rochester Small Scales Houseparty the previous year, so the committee said, go ahead Lynn. And she did.

\nEach Gathering since then, we’ve had a highly successful silent auction, with the proceeds going back to benefit the Gathering Registrants.

\n\nSadly, Lynn died in 2013, but the auctions live on in her name.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’d love you to bring some charming treasures from your collection that you would like to pass on to some new owner to cherish.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n

Suggestions for Silent Auction donations<\/i><\/strong>
\n  -collector item piece of furniture
\n  -an exquisite doll
\n  -an accent piece that you now know you might never find a room to put it in
\n  -power tools you no longer use
\n  -bits and pieces of miniature craft supplies that any miniaturist would love
\n  -any other item you feel we would all love to bid on
\nBe mindful of size, please. Each item needs to travel safely and easily to its new home.<\/p>\n

\nBring your item(s) to the Registration table on arrival Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Silent Auction will be held from dinner on Friday until Saturday evening.
\nWhat doesn’t get auctioned will be donated to a local charity.\n<\/p>\n
